Below is the route of our 3 week stay in Peru. We followed the Gringo Trail, which refers to a string of the most frequently visited places by gringos; foreigners. It runs down from Lima via Nazca to Arequipa, Colca Canyon and Puno and then back up via Cusco and Machu Picchu to Lima. We skipped Lake Titicaca in Puno to have time to go North and explore mountainous Huaraz.
